Kayika Wood comes from Asia and is fantastic wood for the aquarium, paludarium or terrarium. Beautiful shapes, knots, branches and structures give the wood an incredibly beautiful appearance. Each piece is unique and a work of art in itself.
Whether it concerns an aquarium, paludarium or terrarium; the decoration materials have a great influence on the atmosphere. If you want atmosphere, you will quickly find success with the Kayika Wood. The pieces are lively and robust. There are often many options for securing plants. Sometimes there are nice holes for fish to swim through or there are other nice vistas. All pieces have a flat side on which it can stand upright. In columnar aquariums, one piece can steal the show. If necessary, the pieces of wood can also be cut to the desired length or angle with a saw. They could also be used on their side to create terraces in the aquarium.
The possibilities are also diverse for use in the paludarium or terrarium. How nice is it to fix Bromeliads and Tillandsias on it? Some pieces are so beautiful that they wouldn't look out of place on the dresser in the living room.

TIP: Combine several pieces (of different sizes) for maximum effect!
NOTE: In many cases the wood sinks immediately. Pre-soak the piece of wood before using it in the aquarium to make sure it sinks on its own. Depending on the thickness, it can take several days. Because this is a natural product, it can release substances into the water, which can cause it to turn yellow. Activated charcoal, Seachem Purigen or ADA Clear Water will help reduce this.
Kayika is a term used in Asia (India, Buddhism, Hindi) and means something like "corporeal, physical, embodiment".
