Hygrophila 'Stricta' (formerly H. 'Siamensis) comes from Thailand and is a fairly strong aquarium plant with a height of 15-40cm and leaves of 10-15cm long.
The stems are strong and this allows the plant to grow above the water. The leaves are light green and full. It makes few demands on the aquarium and grows quite quickly. Stems that are too large can be cut off and the tops can be replanted in the substrate. A new offshoot will grow on the cut part. Plant the stems with sufficient space between them, so that the lower part also receives sufficient light.
Preferably provide a nutrient-rich soil and sufficient light. In the absence of light, the lower leaves may fall off.
