Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig' is an easy aquariumplant of 20-40cm high with unique leaves on which the veins of a pink colour.
For the pink color to maintain, intensive lighting is required. The discoloration of the veins is most likely caused by a virus which prevents chlorophyll is produced in the cells around the leaf veins. The virus does not affect other plants in the aquarium. Insert the stems separately from each other in the substrate. Long stems can be trimmed off and the tops can be in the substrate are bijgestoken to the group fuller. Loose leaves on the surface float will again roots and new plants form.
