Under good light conditions the leaves spread well. Also ensure there is sufficient CO2. For the rest, the plant makes few demands on the aquarium. Plant the stems as separately as possible in a group, with room for development. Make sure that the long stems are planted at the back, so that as many buds as possible can be seen later.
To keep Myriophyllum mattogrossense nice and compact, it is advisable to prune regularly. It grows quite quickly and uses a lot of nutrients. This makes it also very suitable as a starter plant.
