Mango leaves, like Catappa leaves and other botanicals, are very suitable for use in the aquarium. The leaves have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. During natural decomposition, a biofilm is formed on the leaves in which many micro-organisms live. Shrimp, lobsters, snails and fish feed on this. Mango leaves

Mango leaves are part of natural habitats of many fish species.

In the aquarium, the water will slowly turn yellow to brown due to the tanins released from the leaves. What is special about these Mango leaves is their shape. They are elongated leaves that are a nice change from guava leaves or jackfruit leaves, for example. Another advantage is that the Mango leaves remain intact in the aquarium for a very long time. They offer many hiding places for shrimps, but they also provide shelter in a biotope aquarium.

Mango leaves instructions for use

Mango leaves can be added directly to the aquarium. It may take several days for them to sink. To speed up this process, they can be boiled briefly (5-15 minutes).
Advice: 1 leaf per 10-50 liters. Don't add too much at once. This can cause a fluctuation in the water values.
