EHEIM CO2 Solenoid Valve

With the solenoid valve, the CO2 supply in the aquarium can be switched off - eg to regulate the pH or at night.
By turning off the supply at night, up to 50% CO2 can be saved, because photosynthesis only takes place in daylight, where plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. At night or without light, the plants consume oxygen, therefore CO2 fertilization would not be beneficial
