15ml 4dKH premixed CO2 drop checker solution. Ready-made liquid to use directly in the CO2 checker.
1. Fill approximately 2/3 of the CO2 checker's reservoir with this Drop Checker Solution
2. Place the CO2 checker in the aquarium
3. Optimal CO2 content has been reached when the CO2 Checker Solution is deep green in color
4. Replace the CO2 checker Solution at least once a month for proper accuracy
When the CO2 checker hangs in the aquarium, the CO2 gas present in the water will enter the opening of the CO2 checker. Here it will eventually be absorbed into the indicator fluid. A balance will be created between the CO2 in the CO2 checker and the CO2 in the aquarium. As the level of dissolved CO2 in the aquarium changes, the color of the indicator liquid in the CO2 checker will also change.
When the indicator liquid is green in color, there is a correct CO2 level in the aquarium. No action is necessary.
- Is the color blue? Then the CO2 content is too low. The dosage should be increased.
- Is the color yellow? Then the CO2 content is too high. The dosage should be reduced.
