Inspired by the volcanic area of Garrotxa, Spain.
This substrate consists of textured stones with shades from light to dark gray, mixed with dark strips of bark, twigs and lighter bruised leaves. Detail is added with shells in various subtle shades or with bright white spots. All this is combined with dark gray, textured volcanic sand from the mountains of Catalonia. Used to create a dark atmosphere, or contrasted with bright green plants, Beck brings original and inspiring possibilities to the nature artist and their imagination.

In nature and in art, it is the differences between light and dark, their presence or absence that can create beauty and visual appeal. We have thought about this for our new Beck biotope bed.
