Much earlier, the Incas brewed tea from the bark, which they drank to relieve many ailments. The bark of Lapacho contains various naphthoquinone derivatives, benzofurans and a special combination and concentration of mineral salts and trace elements such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, chromium, silicon, manganese, molybdenum, copper, potassium, sodium, cobalt and boron.
