Bucephalandra pygmaea 'Bukit Kelam' (formerly known as 'Wavy Green') grows naturally on stones and wood in rivers and streams, similar to Anubias. The maintenance and growth also corresponds to that of Anubias species.
Bucephalandra 'Wavy Green' is a slow growing, easy plant that prefers moderate lighting. The plant naturally grows nicely compact with a dense appearance, thanks to branches that are also formed without pruning. The green leaves are 2cm wide and 5cm long with wavy leaf margins. In addition, small white dots will be visible on the leaves. Bucephalandra also blooms underwater with beautiful flowers and will therefore be a very decorative asset in the aquarium!
The creeping rhizome should not be covered or stuck in the soil. This causes rot. It is best to tie the plant to a stone or piece of wood.
