Lobelia cardinalis comes from North America and is ideal as an aquarium plant for creating so-called "streets". It grows to a height of 10-30cm.
In the nursery, this plant is grown in swamp culture. The leaves are dark green with a purple underside. In the aquarium the leaves turn a beautiful, light green color. For maximum effect, the stems can be sorted by length. Plant the short stems at the front and the long stems at the back of the group. This creates a beautiful depth effect. Preferably provide sufficient light to keep growth compact. CO2 and nutrient-rich substrate will also contribute to a healthy appearance.
Lobelia cardinalis is ideally suited to create a "Dutch street" and contrasts beautifully with fine aquarium plants!
