Preferably plant the stems separately and leave a little space for development. The stems grow straight up, but some grow flat across the bottom to spread out. Prune stems longer than 5cm to encourage growth in width.
A high light intensity is recommended for compact growth. If there is too little light, the stems grow taller with large internodes. Soft to medium hard water with CO2 fertilization is also recommended. Staurogyne repens is also a plant species that can form a large root system. So make sure you have a nutrient-rich substrate so that you can view the plant in its full glory.
