The bright green color contrasts nicely with stone, wood and other plants, leading to the Elatine hydropiper is a very popular plant. The growth is similar to Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba' and Glossostigma elatinoides, but it is growing noticeably slower. This makes it easier to maintain.
