Helanthium bolivianum 'Quadricostatus' comes from South America and has characteristic, light green leaves that grow to 10-15cm long. A very beautiful aquarium plant that does not require many requirements.
This species looks best in a group, creating a beautiful field where the fresh green color contrasts nicely with dark green plant species. Under ideal conditions, the plant forms shoots that grow into a new rosette a little further on. Unwanted shoots can be cut off. If the leaves become very light, this is a sign of a trace element deficiency.
There is confusion about the name. It is also known as Echinodorus bolivianus var. magdalenensis.

Alle geruime tijd op zoek naar deze plant. Vaak elders gevonden, maar nooit de plant van emers naar submers kunnen laten gaan. Met dit plantje van Tropica geen probleem gehad. Na 2 dagen al 2 nieuwe bladeren. Een mooi frisgroen rozet plantje voor de voorgrond. Stelt co2 en een goed voedingsbodem zeker op prijs. Kan na een tijd wel wat woekeren, maar goed onder controle te houden.
Ruime keuze aan planten en normale prijzen. Sympathieke en kundige eigenaar. Goede service en "response". Altijd weer.
