The leaves grow slowly and remain healthy for years. To avoid algae, it is best to place it in a spot in the shade. Over time, a group of more than 50cm in diameter is no exception. Leaves can be cut off at the petiole and the rhizome can also be cut to propagate the plant.
Make sure that the rhizome is not planted in the substrate, as this can cause it to rot. Anubias can also be attached to wood or stones and the leaves are tough, making it suitable for use in a cichlid aquarium.
