Under the right conditions it will crawl along the bottom and form an elegant, light green cushion. Under intensive lighting, the young leaves can turn reddish. Pruning is easy with scissors and to multiply it, the cut stems and shoots can be put back into the substrate.
This aquarium plant has few requirements and grows well in average lighting. However, it grows better with more light, CO2 fertilization and other fertilizers. It can also handle temperatures of 20 - 32 °C.
