Echinodorus palaefolius var. latifolius occurs in marshy areas in Brazil and has round leaves with a horizontal bladaanzet.
Under water the leaves are narrower and longer (20-40 long). In the aquarium this plant can also grow out of the water which is very decorative can be in an open aquarium. If this is not desired, the long leaves are cut off, before the surface of the water to reach. The following leaves will be shorter to remain and to remain under water.
