Unlike other Hydrocotyle species, this one retains its creeping growth. Plant it together in small portions. It propagates via suckers and each node produces several stems with one leaf on top. Suckers spread throughout the entire aquarium, so regular removal of unwanted suckers is advisable.
Hydrocotyle verticillata is also a plant that is very suitable for swamp culture, for example for Wabi-kusa.
