Nymphaea lotus is a beautiful and varied species from West Africa with leaves from green to reddish brown and purple spots. In the aquarium it can grow to a size of 20 to 80 cm.
Nymphaea lotus produces many leaves, some of which want to grow to the surface. If this is undesirable, these leaves can be removed. The growth then remains more compact and fuller. This plant prefers a nutrient-rich soil and develops a large root system. Sufficient light, CO2 and iron fertilization influence intense color development.
Nymphaea lotus is a real solitary aquarium plant that will be an eye-catcher in any aquarium!

Ook deze plant van Tropica bij Wilco is van hoge kwaliteit, wordt vers nabesteld, dus top! Voor deze plant betaal je het dubbele van een knolletje bij een willekeurige andere leverancier, maar het voordeel van deze is dat je meteen een plant hebt staan, met meerdere goed ontwikkelde bladeren. Deze lotus is bij ons ook veel intenser rood, haast bordeaux rood, dan de "rode lotus" die wij eerder elders besteld hadden.

Mooie Lotus

Er was een plekje vrijgekomen in onze 450L plantenaquarium en zocht nog een mooie blikvanger. Moest nog een lege Co2 fles laten vullen dus ineens deze Lotus meebesteld. Kreeg heel snel een mooi goed verpakt exemplaar toegestuurd.
