Rotala rotundifolia literally means "plant with round leaves". This is, however, only applies to the surface form. This aquariumplant comes from Asia and has underwater long, thin leaves of 2-3cm with stems of 15-30cm.
Unlike other Rotala species it is relatively low-demanding plant. For a good development of a red color, intense lighting is needed. He is any side shoots, and grows compact and lush. This can make it difficult for light to the lower leaves to achieve. Regular pruning is recommended. The stems can be easily cut off the remaining stems arise again and again new shoots.

Vandaag binnengekomen, keurig ingepakt. Mooie groene bladeren. Zou het zeker aanraden
Mooi om te zien hoe de onderkant van de plant en de bovenkant van dezelfde stengen zo kunnen verschillen van kleur (meer roze naarmate hij dichter bij het licht komt)
Zending was goed verpakt. Potje in een zakje. Het geheel netjes in een doos. De plantjes zaten in een blokje glaswol, wat wel uit het potje gekomen was. Het blijft wel een heel gepiel om die plantjes uit de glaswol te krijgen. Daarbij gaan toch onherroepelijk een paar worteltjes stuk. Al met al heb ik er toch 5 a 6 trosjes plantjes uitgekregen. Nu nog zien hoe het groeit.

Razendsnelle groeier die heel snel omschakelt van emerse naar submerse vorm. De toppen beginnen ook al roze/oranje te verkleuren. Erg leuke plant.

gezond uitziende plant, redelijk veel ook! hopelijk groeit het goed in mijn aquarium.
Ik ben erg tevreden over de kwaliteit en de grote van de bos. Nu hopen dat ze goed aanslaan!
