Dennerle Osmosis Compact 130
A good composition of the aquarium water is important for the health of fish and the growth of aquarium plants. With the help of an Osmosis device, tap water with high hardness can easily be brought to the ideal water composition. The Osmosis water produced by the Dennerle Compact 130 can be collected in a jerry can, bucket or other collection vessel. By mixing this Osmosis water with tap water, it becomes possible to make the aquarium water soft and acidic in a responsible manner.
What is Osmosis water?
The process of reverse osmosis ensures that dissolved salts in the tap water are separated and collected in the filters. Osmosis water is therefore free of substances such as calcium, magnesium and carbonates (limescale/scale) that influence the hardness of the water. The conductivity (microsiemens), Total hardness (GH) and Temporary hardness (KH) are very low.
When do you use Osmosis water?
Do you have a plant aquarium and is the water coming out of the tap hard? Then it makes sense to use Osmosis water. In an aquarium where CO2 is administered, the CO2 no longer reacts with the salts first, but remains freely absorbable by aquarium plants. A pH value of 7.0 or lower is much easier to obtain and costs much less CO2 addition. Most aquarium fish also prefer soft and acidic water. Soft and acidic water is a must for their health and certainly for their reproduction. Special Taiwan bee shrimp also give the best breeding results in soft and acidic water.
The ideal water values (GH, KH and microsiemens) can be obtained by mixing the Osmosis water with the water from the tap. This will be 1:1 for one purpose and 1:6 for another.

Our tip: Place the Osmosis device near the sink, garage with drain or bathroom. It can take 1 to 2 hours before a bucket is filled with Osmosis water and there is a chance that it will overflow if you are not careful.
