Dragon Stone

The Dragon Stone (Ohko Stone) is a type of stone from Asia and has a texture and appearance that is reminiscent of dragon skin. These aquarium stones with many holes and interesting structure have an impressive character. Ideally suited for use in an aquascape.

Dragon stones are very decorative and have brown and yellow tones. Warm colors that provide a nice contrast with green aquarium plants such as Hemianthus callitrichoides , Glossostigma elatinoides or Riccia fluitans . The holes make them a bit lighter in weight. Holes can be full of clay, but this can be rinsed under a running tap. To add even more detail to the aquascape, the stones can also be easily broken into smaller pieces with a hammer. In addition, they are safe to use and do not release substances into the aquarium water.

TIP: 12 kg is a nice amount for a 60-120cm aquarium, depending on the layout. Several kilograms can be ordered for a larger aquarium. The color in the photos may differ from reality. Before use in the aquarium, the stones should be rinsed well under the tap or in a bucket of water, as it contains clay residue. They can make the aquarium water cloudy.
