ADA Power Sand Advance S
Power Sand Advance is the successor to Power Sand Special and combines porous material with organic nutrients and inorganic nutrients that are released slowly. In addition, Bacter100 and Clear Super have been added, so that micro-organisms will develop quickly in the substrate. In addition, BC powder (Bamboo charcoal powder) has also been added, which helps to encourage the growth of aquarium plants.
Many more bacteria and micro-organisms live in the aquarium bottom than in an aquarium filter. The presence of bacteria and micro-organisms ensures that plants can absorb their nutrition much more efficiently. By using ADA Power Sand Advanced, the biological conditions in the aquarium are also guaranteed for a longer period. The nutrients present prevent exhaustion and nutritional deficiencies. In particular, aquarium plants that absorb their nutrition from the soil with their roots, such as Cryptocoryne and Echinodorus species, will develop vigorously.
ADA Power Sand is used as the bottom layer in the aquarium substrate. The Power Sand consists of coarse grains of porous rock. This provides an ideal attachment point for bacteria and micro-organisms. These porous granules contain organic nutrients and minerals to provide aquarium plants with nutrients. This makes it function as a breeding ground where the roots of aquarium plants develop perfectly. Another important advantage is the open space between the grains. Are any additional additions needed?
Useful additions have already been made to Power Sand Advcance. That actually makes it quite complete. Of course, it never hurts to use additional additives such as ADA Bacter 100, ADA Clear Super and ADA Tourmaline BC, as can be seen in many aquascape videos. For aquascapers who set up several aquariums per year, the loose powders will be part of the standard equipment. With extra dosing, the conditions in the soil are maintained even faster and better. Just like with a move, the job can be done with a few people, but it is easier when all family, friends and acquaintances help.
The powders cannot expire. The decision will then have to be made whether the budget allows it and whether it will be useful again in the future.
