ADA Chlor-Off

Chlorine in the aquarium can affect the slime layer of the fish and kill beneficial bacteria. ADA Chlor-Off neutralizes the free chlorine in tap water. Make the tap water safe by adding this product.

Background information about Chlorine in tap water:
Fortunately, we generally have very good aquarium water in the Netherlands. According to information on the internet, 80% of the tap water in the Netherlands does not contain chlorine. In some cases it is added as a disinfectant in the event of a pipe break or the like. Some water companies add chlorine when purifying surface water and sometimes you can taste it in the water. In Belgium people are more used to the water tastes like chlorine. Take a look at the website of, for example, Vitens to see how much Chloride is in your water. In Zutphen, for example, that is an average of 89 mg/L.
