Flubenol
Content: 1 gram
Flubenol can be used to combat planaria. Other worms, snails, parasites and hydra can also be combated with this.
Preparation:
Flubenol also kills snails. So first transfer ornamental snails to another aquarium. Note: Planaria eggs can be in the snail shells. So temporarily put them in a separate aquarium.
First, catch the visible Planaria with a Planaria trap. Remove activated carbon from the filter to prevent the Flubenol from doing its job.
Dosage:
Dissolve 1 gram 100 milliliters (lukewarm) water. 100ml is suitable for treating 100-500 liters of aquarium water. 10ml of this solution is suitable for 50 liters of aquarium water. Try to distribute it well over the aquarium. Overdosing is difficult.
After 5 days, change 30-50% water. The dead planaria can place a heavy burden on water quality. Good aeration and filtering is recommended.
Repeat the treatment after 10 days.
Repeat the treatment after 2-3 weeks. This is necessary because the eggs are not destroyed with Flubenol. The planaria of the hatched eggs can be eradicated with this last treatment.
Planaria is not harmful to fish, lobsters and shrimps
