BioDigest are living bacteria for biological filtering. It is effective in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. The concentrated bacterial solution filters and eliminates aquarium contamination biologically.
An ampoule contains nitrifying bacteria and facultative bacterial colonies selected for their ability to convert ammonia to nitrite, nitrite to nitrates and nitrate to nitrogen. Biological filter action starts quickly thanks to several nitrifying bacteria such as Nitrosomonas europaea and Nitrobacter winogradskyi. Due to the presence of various strains of heterotrophic bacteria such as Paracoccus denitrificans and Pseudomonas stuzeri, the process is monitored. These bacteria work together and complete the process started by the other bacteria. In aerobic conditions, some strains are able to reduce nitrates with enzymes. This purifies the water. The presence of nitrates and phosphates is reduced, making algae less likely to grow.
Prodibio BioDigest has the best effect in the start-up phase. There is no need to overdose. For better performance, the product can be used regularly.
