Optimally dissolve CO2 in a large aquarium
Dissolving CO2 in a large aquarium is not always easy. Fortunately, there is the Aqua Medic CO2 reactor 1000. This sealed CO2 reactor can be placed in the aquarium furniture and connected between the filter and the outflow. The CO2 that enters the reactor vessel is ground by the bioballs into very fine CO2 bubbles. The current that passes ensures maximum contact time between the water and the CO2.
There will be a loss of flow due to resistance of the bioballs. Perhaps it is just as much as if the bioballs were in the normal filter.

Goede product maar je moet wel een slangklem eropzetten. Ook is de flow round 1000l/m teruggehouden door de media
Op zich een prima reactor, maar let wel op dat je soepele slang gebruikt met slangklemmen (niet meegeleverd) die je goed strak aandraait! Met JBL 16/22 slang, kreeg ik hem niet dicht. Met Eheim 16/22 slang lukte het gelukkig wel. Wel slecht dat deze reactor, die al meer dan 10 jaar op de markt is, geen betere aansluitingen heeft. Vandaar niet meer dan drie sterren.
Reactor werkt zeer goed, zelfs als er een hoge dosiring Co2 benodigd is ( 3 á 4 bellen per seconde) vindt een volledige opname plaats. Geen 5 sterren ivm lekkage op Ø 6mm aansluitingen en deze beter kunnen, zeker als er speciale siliconeslang gebruikt wordt. Als tip gebruikt vaseline of ciliconespray op de slang om diep genoeg te monteren zodat lekkage wordt voorkomen.
Dit is nmi een topding. doet goed zijn werk. Draai wel de verbindingen goed aan voordat je het in werking zet op de retour van het filter.
