Aquario Neo Media Pure is the result of a quest to create the best biological filter material in the world. Aquario Neo Media Pure is porous, suitable for long-term use and does not affect the pH value of the water.
pH neutral
Water pH tests show that popular ceramic-type filter materials produce alkaline readings. Which means; they change the pH value, causing the water to harden considerably. (SIPORAX 9~10, EHEIM Substrate PRO 8~9). Neo Media Pure is a truly neutral filter material and has little effect on the pH. This makes Aquario Neo Media Pure suitable for all aquariums, such as: plant, shrimp, Malawi, Tanganyika and seawater aquarium with SPS corals. The Neo Media Pure pallets do not change the pH value and keep it at a level of 6~7.
Extremely porous
Thanks to the production process and the structure of the fibers, it is possible to create pallets with different pore sizes. This allows the settlement and rapid development of various types of bacteria responsible for the breakdown of harmful substances. The right ecosystem that develops in the filter material is a decisive factor for the success of biological filtration. Where other filter materials have a limited variety of pore sizes, there is a lot of variation in Neo Media. Thanks to the advanced production technology in combination with the fiber structure, record porosity could be achieved. This is many times higher than the porosity of the best ceramics known to date. (SIPORAX 270m2/l, EHEIM Substrate PRO 450m2/l). Aquario Neo Media offers up to 3,600 m2/l. This surface with different pore sizes guarantees the best biological filtration.
The final production stage guarantees the durability of the product for a long period of time, which complements the main advantages of the best organic cartridge in the world. - Rinse 2-3 times with running water. (excessive rinsing causes the pallets to rub against each other and create more dust)
