The effect of humic acids
The many positive effects of humic acids are mainly caused by polyphenols, quinones and stable radicals. It improves immunity and stress resistance. Humins are known to activate white blood cells and thereby strengthen the immune system, leading to improved cellular immune response mechanisms.
The influence of humic acids has been proven to extend the life expectancy of killifish (Notobranchius furzeri) by about 15%. A gene expression analysis in Caenorhabditis elegans (a nemathode) showed that the genes controlling life expectancy are activated. In particular, several beneficial stress proteins (HSP) were identified, which are known for their beneficial effect on longevity and overall resistance.
An experiment with humic acids and swordtails (Xiphophorus helleri) resulted in multiple stress resistance. In zebrafish (Danio rerio), a trend towards more positive egg development was observed, even in water with only a low humic acid concentration.
Blackwater fish cannot survive in water with a lack of minerals, without humic acids. On the other hand, in water rich in humic acids, pH does not play a significant role. However, the full range of effects that humic acids have has not yet been fully explored. We can say with certainty that humic surfaces adhere and neutralize the cohesion of water. When humins reach the gill epithelium of fish or shrimp, they improve osmosis regulation and at the same time reduce the amount of energy required for this. A less energy-intensive osmosis regulation means that more energy remains for growth and development. Fish are also passively immunized from outside, because their cell membranes are protected with secreted proteins, which provide indirect resistance to pathogens.

Usage advice:
Sprinkle the desired amount of powder over the water surface. Black Water Powder dissolves easily at any pH. Please note that the water will temporarily turn a brownish color, but will be crystal clear after a while. If the brown color persists, check the filter or reduce the dosage.

Maakt het aquarium tijdelijk wat bruin, maar de dieren lijken er echt van te genieten.
Toen ik het bestelde was ik er niet helemaal zeker van wat het zou doen met mijn vissen. Ik heb een klein aquarium met een 12-tal boraras maculatas. Meteen al de eerste dag toen ik het het toevoegde waren ze veel minder schuw en werden hun kleuren veel feller dan normaal! Super product! (zeker in combinatie met Aquarium mineral GH/KH+ voor RO water)
Als je het voor de eerste keer gebruikt zou ik aanraden een halve dosis te nemen, Het water kleurt melkachtig donker bruin binnen enkele seconden. Na een uur klaart het water op en de dag nadien word het water terug helder en de bruine verkleuring verdwijnt langzaam. Ik had dit produkt aangekocht omdat er een paar Neon Tetras gestorven waren zonder enige aanwijzing en in de bijsluiter staat dat dit product de gezondheid bevorderd. In het aquarium zitten er ook veel garnalen en ik verkies de natuurlijke balance niet te veel te verstoren. De dieren in het aquarium blijven aktief en dit product stoort hen niet
Zondag besteld. Dinsdag geleverd. Zeer snel en alles in orde. Ik heb het product nog maar één keer gebruikt. Starten met een zeer kleine dosis is nodig.
