Not parallel, why is this?
As can be seen in the photos, the elbow does not have completely parallel ends. Why? Well, the elbow is flexible. You can stretch them freely on the aquarium wall. The tube will "grip" the glass tightly, keeping the tubing aligned.
Made of acrylic:
Glass elbows often break or do not match the thickness of the glass. The acrylic elbow is not only flexible, but also does not break and is perfectly transparent.
