Foreground plants are basicly aquarium plants that stay low. Combine different types of aquarium plants that provide contrast with each other in color, leave shape and height. This way a playful and interesting under water landscape can be created.
Glossostigma elatinoides is without a doubt also one of the most popular foreground plants in a planted aquarium. Within a few weeks a beautiful, fresh green carpet will form.
Micranthemum callitrichoides 'Cuba' is the world's smallest aquarium plant. The small leaves are ideal for an aquascape to give a sense of optical scale to the layout. Requires a lot of lighting.
