Foreground plants are basicly aquarium plants that stay low. Combine different types of aquarium plants that provide contrast with each other in color, leave shape and height. This way a playful and interesting under water landscape can be created.

Micranthemum callitrichoides 'Cuba' is the world's smallest aquarium plant. The small leaves are ideal for an aquascape to give a sense of optical scale to the layout. Requires a lot of lighting.
Hemianthus micranthemoides comes from North America and is a graceful aquarium plant with narrow, curved leaves and grows to a height of 10-20cm.
Lobelia cardinalis comes from North America and is ideal as an aquarium plant for creating so-called "streets". It grows to a height of 10-30cm.
