Hygrophila corymbosa 'Compact' is a very compact form of Hygrophila corymbosa. The leaves are closer to the stem and several side shoots are formed, enhancing the compact shape.
The leaves have a brown-green color when they leave the nursery, but after a transition period in the aquarium they turn light green with a silvery white underside. Under strong lighting, the newest leaves will turn redder. In less intense light, the lower leaves will die after some time. New shoots are produced regularly, replacing the old ones.
