In the beginning it seems as if the mineral stones dissolve in the water. This is obviously not the case. It swells and this is necessary to store toxic substances in the intermediate layers, where they are absorbed by the clay silicate.
For health, vitality, bright colors and the prevention of molting problems, it is very important to enrich the water with minerals. This is particularly important when using softening soils or soft water. This can easily cause a mineral deficiency. Before use, hold the stones briefly under water about 4 times, every few minutes, so that the stones can absorb evenly. This prevents cracks and breaks.
Place approximately 200 grams of Mineral Stone per 100 liters of water in the aquarium. Replace this after about 6 months. It does not harm the shrimp to overdose. If the Mineral Stone is overgrown with algae, it should be cleaned with a soft brush. After this it can be placed back in the aquarium.
