Indicator fluid for CO2 checkers. The liquid is immediately ready for use. Use the handy dropper bottle to fill CO2 checkers.

Fill the reservoir approximately 2/3 full. Usually 15 drops is sufficient, depending on the CO2 checker. Place the CO2 checker in the aquarium in a place where it is easy to read. The best position is in the current, with some distance from the CO2 source. A good CO2 content has been achieved as soon as the liquid has a green color. Please note that it takes some time for the color of the liquid to change. Proceed in small steps. Review in the middle of the day.

For a reliable measurement, the fluid must be replaced at least once a month.

When the CO2 checker hangs in the aquarium, the CO2 gas present in the water will enter the opening of the CO2 checker. Here it will be absorbed into the indicator liquid through gas exchange in the CO2 checker. A balance will be created between the CO2 in the CO2 checker and the CO2 in the aquarium. As the level of dissolved CO2 in the aquarium changes, the color of the indicator liquid in the CO2 checker will also change.

When the indicator liquid is green in color, there is a correct CO2 level in the aquarium. No action is necessary.
- Is the color blue? Then the CO2 content is too low. The dosage should be increased.
- Is the color yellow? Then the CO2 content is too high. The dosage should be reduced.
