Affordable CO2 system for disposable CO2 bottles
An affordable CO2 system for an aquarium where beautiful plant growth is desired. CO2 fertilization is virtually indispensable in a fully planted aquarium with more difficult plant species. CO2 is the most important source of nutrition for aquarium plants. Plants grow much better if CO2 is added to the aquarium. This complete CO2 set has been specially put together by Azaqua with top-quality products at an affordable price. Easy to use and a sustainable step towards better plant growth!
Suitable for an aquarium from 0 to ??? Litre. The limiting factor is the CO2 diffuser. It must have sufficient capacity to dissolve the CO2 in the water. With the optional CO2 diffuser bowl 30, this CO2 set is suitable for an aquarium up to approximately 200 liters. Do you have a larger aquarium? Then the inline CO2 atomizer is a better choice or choose a different diffuser on the CO2 diffuser page.
Complete CO2 set with all the necessities for adding CO2 to an aquarium. Add CO2 without any fuss and easy for everyone to connect.
Assemble a complete CO2 system with disposable bottles
- CO2 pressure regulator for disposable bottles
- CO2 hose set
- CO2 disposable bottle (500 grams or 1000 grams)
- CO2 solenoid valve
Optionally choose from an example:
- CO2 diffuser Bowl 30 (tip)
- CO2 bubble counter Spiral (tip)
More information about the accessories
CO2 pressure regulator with pressure gauge and fine adjustment
The pressure regulator is suitable for use with disposable bottles. To keep adjustment simple, it is preset to a constant operating pressure of 2 bar. Only the fine adjustment needs to be operated to adjust the correct CO2 dosage.
CO2 Solenoid valve for night shut-off
The CO2 solenoid valve can be connected to a timer in the system. This means the CO2 system can be turned off at night. The CO2 solenoid valve can also be connected to a PH controller for use in combination with a PH-controlled CO2 system.
Benefit from the convenience of a disposable CO2 bottle. The bottle is filled with 500 or 1100 grams of CO2 and is immediately ready for use. Very safe to use, partly thanks to the integrated foot and high pressure resistance up to 165 bar.

CO2 hoses and check valve
High-quality black pressure hose (max. 20 bar) is supplied for the connection between the pressure regulator and the solenoid valve. A flexible, transparent CO2 hose (max. 2 bar) is included for the connection of the solenoid valve to the CO2 check valve and CO2 diffuser. The check valve prevents water from siphoning to the solenoid valve and pressure regulator.
The CO2 diffuser determines whether sufficient CO2 can be dissolved in the water. For example, the Azaqua Bowl 30 is suitable for an aquarium of 80-200 liters. If the aquarium is larger, a larger sparkling surface is required or, for example, the Azaqua inline CO2 atomizer. Or choose another CO2 diffuser from the range: CO2 diffusers.
CO2 bubble counter
The CO2 bubble counter is a useful product to see how much CO2 is now being added to the aquarium. It helps adjust the dosage. This can be done in combination with measuring the pH or looking at the color of the CO2 checker (optional). With an Azaqua CO2 bubble counter regular, the number of bubbles can be counted up to approximately 4 per second. With the Azaqua CO2 bubble counter Spiral, a larger number of bubbles per second can be counted more easily. Exactly how many bubbles are needed for the aquarium depends on various factors such as water volume, lighting, water parameters, amount of plants, etc. A reasonable starting point is 1 bubble per second per 50 liters of water volume, but as mentioned, it will depend greatly on the situation.
