PhosBond quickly removes phosphate and silicate. High porosity means there is a large binding capacity. Less silicate in the water means less chance of diatoms.
PhosBond is a revolutionary product that combines the phosphate removing properties of aluminum oxide and iron oxide. The synergistic combination removes phosphates and silicates from salt and fresh water and combines the best of both types of phosphate removers.
For best results, PhosBond should be rinsed before use. Place it in the filter where as much water as possible can pass through, but not that can move loosely on top of each other. For example in a filter basket or drip filter.

Seachem PhosBond instructions for use
100ml treats approximately 660 liters of freshwater or 330 liters of saltwater. Leave the bag in place for 4 days and test the phosphate and silicate values regularly. If the value has not reduced to approximately 0.02 mg/L, replace the PhosBond or leave it in place until the values begin to rise again. As long as the concentrations are controlled, the product is not depleted. Overtreatment is not recommended. PhosBond™ is not an exchange resin and does not release anything into the water. It does not leach phosphate or silicate back into the water and can be removed, dried and put back into use until exhausted. Continuous use of small amounts is better than periodic use of larger amounts.
