PhosBond quickly removes phosphate and silicate. Due to high porosity, there is a large binding capacity. Less silicate in the water is less likely to cause diatoms.
PhosBond is a revolutionary product that combines the phosphate-removing properties of aluminum oxide and iron oxide. The synergistic combination removes phosphates and silicates from salt and fresh water and combines the best of both types of phosphate removers.
For best results, PhosBond should be rinsed before use. Place it in the filter where as much water as possible can pass, but not that can move loosely over each other. For example in a filter basket or drip filter.

Seachem PhosBond user manual
100ml treats about 660 liters of fresh water or 330 liters of salt water. Leave the bag in place for 4 days and regularly test the phosphate value and silicate value. If the value has not decreased to approximately 0.02 mg/L, replace the PhosBond or leave it in place until the values begin to increase again. As long as the concentrations are controlled, the product is not depleted. Overtreatment is not recommended. PhosBond ™ is not an exchange resin and does not transfer to the water. It does not leak phosphate or silicate back into the water and can be removed, dried and put back into use until exhausted. Continuous use of small amounts is better than periodic use of larger amounts.
