Foreground plants are basicly aquarium plants that stay low. Combine different types of aquarium plants that provide contrast with each other in color, leave shape and height. This way a playful and interesting under water landscape can be created.
The Moss Ball Aegagropila linnaei is not a real plant, but a ball of algae of 3-10cm in size. In nature, the ball can be found in shallow waters where the water movement ensures that a ball is formed.

Eleocharis acicularis is a popular aquarium plant. Not without reason, because it grows in almost all conditions in the aquarium. It prefers an open space without shade from overhanging plants.
