Eleocharis acicularis

Eleocharis acicularis is a popular aquarium plant. Not for nothing, because it grows in almost all circumstances in the aquarium. It prefers an open space without shade from overhanging plants.

After planting, the Eleocharis acicularis will spread with suckers. A beautiful carpet of 6-15 cm high is then formed. If the carpet gets too high, it can be trimmed to the desired length. Just like a normal turf.

Eleocharis acicularis is perhaps the most successful plant for a green-covered bottom in a large aquarium!
