Foreground plants are basicly aquarium plants that stay low. Combine different types of aquarium plants that provide contrast with each other in color, leave shape and height. This way a playful and interesting under water landscape can be created.
Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' is a very popular aquarium plant due to its red color and is characterized by compact growth and slower growth rate. Ideal for a small aquarium or as a foreground plant in larger layouts.
Helanthium tenellum, formerly Echinodorus tenellus, is the smallest variant of the Echinodorus species. This makes it ideal for a small aquarium. The plant spreads via suckers and eventually a beautiful, fresh green grass carpet will develop in the aquarium.
