ADA Soft Water
Soft Water makes the water slightly acidic. Most aquarium plants and tropical fish prefer slightly acidic water (pH<7.0). However, ordinary tap water is often mildly alkaline (pH>7.0) and is therefore less suitable for fish and plants. Soft Water lowers the pH and carbonate hardness (KH) and transforms the water into slightly acidic.
ADA Soft Water User Manual
Use Soft Water at the weekly water change. Add 1 pump (1ml) per 10L to a bucket with fresh tap water. This gives the fresh tap water a lower pH and is therefore better suited for the aquarium. Note that the pH and kH of the tap water can differ greatly per region. In order to acidify to a certain value, these values must therefore be measured. For example with Pack Checker pH.
