A healthy, nutrient rich substrate is the foundation of a healthy aquarium! Without good substrate the plants in the aquarium wil not grow well and due to lack of nutrients they will make an unhealthy impression. Good substrate stimulates the growth of roots, improves biological activity and increases the overall succes of the aquarium in the long term.
Aquariumplants need special nutrients to grow well, take root, develop new leaves, maintain their color and stay in shape. Nearly all aquarium plants are marsh plants that take up nutrients through their roots out of the substrate. A nutritional base layer helps to prefent shortage in nutrients by the aquarium plants and is also beneficial for the long term use.
The aquarium substrate is the foundation of a healthy aquarium. A good circulation and supply of nutrients, oxygen, high bacterial activity for biological balance, providing optimal conditions for the roots of aquarium plants etc. It is important to provide the best possible circumstances by the use of additves and ensure maximum health, clarity and plant growth, also for the long term!
Aquarium sand determines the atmosphere in an aquarium. Create a natural atmosphere with the right sand on the bottom. By using decorative sand there rise numerous possibities to achieve other natural layout designs. Very nice optical effects can be created by using decorative sand. Our Black Venom gravel can be perfectly combined with our Black Venom Boulders or used as a stand-alone substrate.
