Foreground plants are basicly aquarium plants that stay low. Combine different types of aquarium plants that provide contrast with each other in color, leave shape and height. This way a playful and interesting under water landscape can be created.

Anubias barteri 'Coffeefolia' is a very beautiful breeding variant of the Anubias barteri. This easy-going aquarium plant grows to a height of 15 to 25 cm and the rhizome grows to 10 cm and longer. Characteristic is the special leaf shape, in which the leaf ribs are strongly curved. This creates a fascinating scene in both a small and large aquarium.
Anubias barteri var. barteri comes from West Africa and is an easy aquarium plant. It grows under the same conditions as Anubias barteri var. nana, but with leaves of 25 to 40 cm high.
Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia is an aquarium plant that originated in an Australian laboratory. It closely resembles the common Anubias barteri var. nana, but is characterized by a beautiful heart-shaped leaf.
Anubias barteri var. nana is a small, decorative aquarium plant that grows well in a variety of conditions. It originally comes from Cameroon and grows to a size of about 5 to 10 cm. The rhizome also reaches a length of 10cm or more. Anubias grows slowly and the leaves last several years.

Bucephalandra 'Wavy Green' grows naturally on stones and wood in rivers and streams, similar to Anubias. The maintenance and growth also corresponds to that of Anubias species and can be tied to wood or stone.
Cryptocoryne beckettii 'Petchii' is a small variant of the Cryptocoryne beckettii from Sri Lanka with beautiful, slightly wavy leaf edges and grows to a height of 10-15 cm in the aquarium.
Cryptocoryne crispatula comes from southern Thailand where it grows in water that can be quite hard. The leaves of this aquarium plant are thin, corrugated and can grow 20-60cm long.

Taxiphyllum barbieri is a species of moss that is very easy to keep in the aquarium. The moss comes from Asia and is therefore often referred to as Java moss. It grows up to 10cm thick and attaches to a variety of surfaces. Ideal for covering stones, back walls or driftwood.
Taxiphyllum 'Spiky' is a more robust moss species and forms thicker shoots. These are strongly branched with many 'leaves' and have a deep green color. A bit like the big brother of 'Christmas moss'.
